2017 Norwich Fair -- Thursday July 20-Sunday July 23

SCHEDULE FOR THE NORWICH FAIR  

 Pony rides, a pig roast, a parade, silent auction, the dunk tank, live music, the fire department touch-a-truck, the “meadow muffin” contest, rides and lots more are on the agenda for this year’s Norwich Fair, set for the green in front of the Marion Cross School from Thursday, July 20 to Sunday, July 23. 

Here’s the schedule of the annual event run by the Norwich Lions Club as of July 5, 2017.

Norwich Fair

 

Thursday, July 20

Ride tickets on sale at 5:30, including $20 bracelets for unlimited rides (Thursday only).

6-9:30, Bingo to support the Aging Center for the Memory Café at DHMC

6-10 p.m., Rides 

Live Music: Jamie O'Keefe 

Dunk Tank, 6-8 p.m.

 

6-10 p.m., Boy Scout Concessions, subject to change

Silent Auction

 

Friday, July 21

5-10 p.m., Rides

5:30 p.m., Pig Roast Dinner (sponsored by Pathways Consulting)

Serving starts at 5:30 til 7:30 or until the pig runs out. 

Menu: Old fashioned slow roasted BBQ pig, with sides of home made sides- potato salad, baked beans, coleslaw, rolls and butter, and baked desserts,  Drinks include iced tea, lemonade or water.

Silent Auction 

6-8 p.m., Dunk Tank

7-10 p.m., Bingo to support The Haven

Live Music: The Flames

Boy Scout Concessions

 

Saturday, July 22

10 a.m., Parade starts and ends at St. Barnabas church (262 S. Main St.)(Animals, floats, bikes, skates, circus performers, marching bands.)

11 a.m.-10 p.m., Rides

Free Pony Rides (sponsored by Twin State Sand and Gravel and Blaktop)

Silent Auction

12-8 p.m., Dunk Tank

12-12:30 p.m., Pie Contest Drop-off (sponsored by King Arthur Flour)

12:45 p.m., Pie Contest Judging begins

3-5 p.m., Fire Department Touch a Truck

3-5:30 p.m., Live Music: Tuck's Rock Dojo

4-9 p.m., Bingo to support The Dismas House

Boy Scout Concessions

6:30-9:30 p.m., Live Music: Socially Awkward 

ABOUT 9:45 p.m., Fireworks

 

Sunday, July 23

11:30: Ride tickets on sale, including $20 bracelets for unlimited rides  (Sunday only)

12 p.m.-5 p.m., Rides

12:30-4 p.m., Dunk Tank

Boy Scout Concessions

2 p.m., Silent Auction ends

2-4 p.m., Bingo to support Dismas House 

3 p.m., Meadow Muffin Contest

3-5 p.m., Silent Auction winners pick up at the Fair
